The Parish has 2 constables who are elected for a term of up to 3 years. Elections are held in November.
The Douzaine is made up of 16 Parishioners who each serve a 4 year term of office. Elections of douzeniers and constables are held in November by all parishes. Each year two or three Douzeniers terms of office expire.
Constables' Office Opening Hours
Monday - Friday: 10 am to 1 pm (the hours are extended to include 3pm - 5pm during the month that the rates are due)
Two Parish meetings are held each year.
The meeting held in April / May each year is to approve the expenditure and rates for the Parish.
The Elections of Parish Officers are held on the first Wednesday of November or if this is 5th November, they are held on the first Tuesday
The Vale district is able to elect seven individuals who need not be Parishioners to represent them in the States of Guernsey. They are elected for a 4 year term.
The next election will be held in 2016.
